Joint Legal Services for Staffordshire Police Force & West Midlands Police have an exciting opportunity for an Employment Lawyer.  You will be employed by Staffordshire Police Force but working within the Joint Legal Services Department and supporting both Police Forces on a range of employment matters in regard to Police Officers and Police Staff; general employment advice; pensions advice; Policies and Procedures that govern both Forces.  You will hold a case load and   represent either Force in Employment Tribunal cases or at the County Court.  There will be other areas that you may also need to advise upon as set out in the Role Profile and you will be supported with the development of your knowledge and skills to advise upon those areas

The successful candidate will be part of a supportive and inclusive team of Lawyers and Legal Advisors and managed by a Senior Lawyer.

We welcome applications from Candidates who are either a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executive, or a newly qualified Solicitor or Barrister.  Experienced of working within the field of Employment Law is desirable but we will consider candidates who can demonstrate strong transferrable skills.

This is an agile working post and your primary base will be Lloyd House Birmingham but you can combine working from either the offices of Staffordshire or West Midlands Police and working remotely from home.
