About the Opportunity

We are looking for forward thinking individuals who have the ability, interest and drive to undertake a 2-year CIPD Level 5 professional qualification, whilst working in our People Officer team, which forms part of the People & OD Team.

We are looking for someone who shares our passion and wants to make a difference on a daily basis to the communities of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.

To support you in your journey to a professional qualification we will provide you with the following:

  • Fully funded training with a CIPD accredited training provider
  • 20% of your work week dedicated to your professional studies
  • A supportive and inclusive environment
  • A mentor who is a former CIPD student
  • The ability to access the wider Staffordshire Police Learning and Development offerings

The CIPD Level 5 qualification provides you with the essential knowledge and skills to grow within a professional HR function.  It will provide opportunity to achieve Associate CIPD status.  There will be opportunity with further CPD to upgrade membership to Chartered CIPD.

Above all we are looking for forward thinking individuals who have the ability to adapt and develop in the role and be part of the new approach to policing.

This role is based at Staffordshire Police Headquarters, Weston Road, Stafford ST18 0YY with a starting salary of £34,287. In line with being a modern employer we support agile working, making the most of modern technology, helping support a work life balance and delivery of outcomes.
