Police Support Volunteers are very important members of the policing family and a vital resource to help us deliver policing and build links with our communities. They undertake a wide range of roles, supporting and enhancing our services so that our officers and staff can concentrate on key operational duties.
It is essential that public confidence in us is high. Our volunteers are a vital resource to help us with that, as their support enables us to engage with our communities more fully and assist us to deliver policing.
Volunteering can is really satisfying and beneficial to those who give up their time to contribute to the force. If you volunteer it could benefit you as follows:
• Help to strengthen your CV and help you to develop new skills
• Gain experience of workings as part of a team
• Enhance personal development and growth
• Make a valuable contribution to the safety and security of your own community.
We are currently looking for Police Support Volunteers for the following roles:
• Cadet Leaders, throughout the county
• Independent Advisory Group members, north of the county
• Safer Streets Police Support Volunteers, Northwood and Fenton areas of Stoke-on-Trent
