This is a key management role responsible for the running and operation of the workshop, commissioning and business aspects of JETS. The role will be based at Trentham Lakes in Stoke on Trent.

The Joint Emergency Transport Service, is part of the Staffordshire Police family – working within the Enabling Services Command.  There is a clear Fleet Strategy that embraces an ambitious plan to develop and drive a productive, efficient and effective workplace to service the operational needs of both organisations.

The successful candidate will need to have a comprehensive knowledge of a Fleet operation and ideally in the public / bluelight sector, but bringing fresh and innovative ideas as to how our Fleet Operation can be improved within the standard operating procedures that are expected.

You’ll understand the importance of working collaboratively with change colleagues and leaders across the business and want to embrace working with operational colleagues across both Fire and Police.

You will report to the Service Director Commercial, who is also the Strategic Lead for Fleet.  This is a new role and together will work on embedding the role and change of structure within the Fleet Team, to embrace change, drive new ways of working and best practices.  You will also work with a Regional Fleet Team and a National Fleet Management Team, giving you the opportunity to build relationships, influence and bring ideas and ways of working back to your own team.

The Joint Emergency Transport Unit is a great place to work, with a motivated and engaged team, delivering the end to end process of purchasing, commissioning, maintaining and disposing of vehicles.
