This is a great opportunity to come and join Staffordshire Police to help share and drive our approach to sustainability within the work force and across the organisation.  Focusing on the strategy and the policies that we can adapt within the organisation to engage and grow the sustainable culture as a way of working. 

We need a highly motivated individual who is a self-starter with a passion about the environment and sustainable processes and ways of working – who can bring their individual style and flair to the force.

The ideal candidate will have a proven understanding and capability of current sustainability processes and procedures, including decarbonisation, environmental best practices and lean ways of working. Along with the ability to clearly communicate with, and positively influence, staff at all levels across the force.

We would want the candidate to have a passion and drive for changing our operations for the better of the environment, to ensure we have a direct impact on worker ‘greener’ across the force.

The candidate will be able to contribute and support the governments new zero carbon ambition and we would hope that the candidate can demonstrate capability and experience in the design and delivery of innovative initiatives from both Public and Private Sector environments working closely with our Estates and Commercial Teams to offer the best solutions for the force.

Experience of Microsoft Office packages, including PowerPoint, excel and teams.

Assessments and Interviews:

• Shortlisted candidates will be invited to provide a 10 minute presentation in advance of their interview on the positive impact of sustainability within the workforce. 

• There will then be a competency-based interview to discuss the skills and experience you can bring to the role.   

Successful Candidates:

 Proven ability to deliver environmental and sustainable performance improvements.

 Continuous improvement skills and mindset – Lean sixth sigma qualification.

 A good understanding of environmental, sustainability and waste usage best practices.

 Monday to Friday working in an agile environment.

 Postholder will be required to achieve Level 5 qualification.
