About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Occupational Health Department for 1 Occupational Health Screening Nurse. We are looking for a Registered Nurse with experience in an occupational health setting.

There is one part-time (4 days per week) 12 month fixed term role. The role has the benefits of flexible working, and is part of the Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Team within Occupational Health, providing support to Staffordshire Police and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The successful candidate will have sufficient training and skills to enable them to work autonomously, conducting health screening for potential and existing employees to assess their fitness to work, health surveillance, and supporting health promotion activities. Training and experience in vaccinations, phlebotomy and colour vision screening would be beneficial.

The position would suit someone who can demonstrate the ability to take personal responsibility and work with minimum supervision, and meet deadlines while managing competing demands.

The ideal candidate will work co-operatively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting colleagues and developing positive working relationships across a range of other disciplines within the organisation.

You will also have strong communication skills, with an ability to support equality within the workplace and promoting good communications between Occupational Health, the employee and the wider business, ensuring client confidentiality in line with GDPR at all times.
