Our new model of policing changes the way we are structured and organised, ensuring that everyone who works within Staffordshire Police has an integral role of play in shaping the future of the Force. We are looking for those who will champion new ways of working and be collaborative.

Our transformation programme seeks to modernise policing with improvements to IT and digital capability in order to deliver the best service and embed a culture of continuous improvement.

To deliver excellence, the Force seeks the very best people who can represent all of Staffordshire’s communities. The Force values diversity, innovation and will seek to support its people to achieve their fullest potential.

The ideal candidate will have a proven understanding and capability of learning and development processes (learning needs analysis, design, delivery, evaluation and environmental scanning) together with the ability to clearly communicate with, and positively influence, staff at all levels in the areas of learning and development.

Demonstrate capability and experience in the delivery of innovative learning initiatives alongside the ability to successfully coach and mentor groups or individuals.

Experience of Microsoft Office packages, including PowerPoint and the creative ability to use audio/visual technologies in a learning environment.

Assessments and Interviews:

●       Shortlisted candidates will be invited to undertake a 2 hour driving assessment.

●        A successful assessment will be followed by a competency based interview to discuss the skills and experience you can bring to the Team and your ideas and visions for the future of driver education.

Successful Candidates:

●       You will undertake an intensive six week Police Instructors’ Course.

●        Monday to Friday working an 8 hour day between the hours of 7am and 7pm.

Applications are welcomed from all suitably qualified/experienced individuals. However prior consideration will be given to applications from individuals who are ‘at risk’ and employed by Staffordshire Police. If an appointment is made from that at risk group, the post may be withdrawn. In this event, a representative from the People Services team will notify any affected applicants.

“Staffordshire have a strong commitment to equality and diversity in our people, within the organisation and in the services we provide to our communities.

We want to reflect the communities we serve and one way we can try to achieve this is through a 'positive action' approach.

Positive action is activity which helps employers identify and remove barriers and issues to the recruitment, retention and progression of people who identify with underrepresented groups of the Equalities Act 2010 (i.e. LGBT+, ethnicity, disability), whilst still employing people on merit.
