VEHICLE COMMISSIONER

Grade F - £26,565 - £32,394

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Vehicle Commissioner you will be a specialist member of our team. Working alongside colleagues to support the design, specification and building of emergency services vehicles to the highest possible standards, being aware of the relevant construction and Use legislation and the Police Services exemptions, whilst complying with our Health and Safety policy.  You will be expected to strip, install various electrical systems and lighting, test, rebuild, test, maintain and de-commission a variety of vehicles.

This is a diverse role which includes being able to look at requirements and solutions with alternative approaches, being flexible but meticulous in your work methods.  All of our commissioners are provided with full on the job training and development along with opportunities to access further qualifications to improve their career portfolio.

In order to be successful, you must possess the following: -an aptitude for problem solving, evidence of previous auto – electrical experience within automotive industry.  Be able to evidence knowledge of vehicle electrical principles, CAN Bus & Integrated Systems, Vehicle Electrical Fault Finding

Qualification essentials

L3 Diploma in auto electrical & mobile electrical principles – or a willingness to successfully complete and achieve this qualification.

Full UK Car Driving Licence
